The plaintiff, a 60-year-old male, entered defendant hospital in January 2018 with liver and cardiac-related issues. A full workup was done, including a brain scan, which showed an incidental finding of a possible pituitary macroadenoma. The patient received treatment for his cardiac issues and was discharged, but there was no follow-up on the pituitary gland tumor–which ruptured on August 1, 2018 and resulted in total loss of sight in his left eye. Paid by unnamed hospital.
The plaintiff was represented by Nicholas J. Motherway.
