Attorney Brion Doherty obtained $1,000,000 for a 51-year-old man that was struck by a utility vehicle while attempting to cross the street. The driver initially attempted to blame the injured victim (who was unable to recall the incident given the nature of the impact) for darting out and crossing outside of the crosswalk. An investigation found video rebutting the driver’s claims and revealed that the man was in the crosswalk at the time of the collision and had not darted out. Fortunately, the man made a very good recovery from his injuries.
