In April 2019, the plaintiff was a teenager using a trampoline at a local gymnastics club. He attempted a back flip and was injured. As a result of the flip, the plaintiff was rendered a quadriplegic and has undergone multiple surgeries to stabilize his neck. It was alleged that the defendants should not have instructed him to attempt the backflip or should have provided support/ harness to the young man. The defendants settled this matter with the plaintiff for $3,625,000. Daniel Madigan represented the plaintiff.
