In a partially confidential settlement, our client has settled a lawsuit in regard to a motorcycle accident in which he became a paraplegic when he encountered a speed hump at night on a residential street in Chicago and lost control.
The hump was not properly marked and there was no speed hump warning sign in place. The defense alleged that our client was impaired by alcohol and marijuana and was performing a stunt on his bike when he lost control. The City of Chicago and three private corporations settled in negotiations with Nicholas J. Motherway and Nicholas T. Motherway.
