A $1,000,000 settlement was obtained on behalf of a woman in her sixties who was at a local area hospital for a significant case of COVID. During the hospitalization, an EKG was performed, which showed a STEMI, and there was a five-to-seven-hour delay in getting the patient into the catheter lab. In the catheter lab, the patient coded, but she survived. The patient suffered a decreased ejection fraction and increased fatigue. The settlement was made on behalf of a local area hospital. Brad Schulman represented the plaintiff.
