Appeals Exhausted – $1.9 Million Dollar Judgment Paid

In May, 2012, a jury awarded Teodoro Ramirez $1,588,000 in damages for the injuries sustained in a construction accident on a jobsite overseen by general contractor, FCL Builders, Inc.  Mr. Ramirez was represented by Robert J. Napleton.

The judgment was against FCL Builders which had insurance coverage well in excess of the verdict.  On July 30, 2014 the Illinois Supreme Court denied leave to appeal an appellate decision affirming the judgment amount.  With interest and costs assessed against FCL Builders, Inc., the total amount received by the plaintiff was over $1.9 million dollars.
